What is the BLOVED Hive?

The BLOVED Hive is the UK’s first community for wedding industry professionals with a dedicated London co-working space.

With practical workshops and events, regular business advice and inspiration, and a supportive group of members, The B.LOVED Hive will support you to build a thriving and successful business.

Where is the BLOVED Hive?

The Hive is based at The Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey. This former industrial site has been converted into trendy studios, filled with light which is just perfect for creative businesses.  A 5-minute walk from Bermondsey tube station (Jubilee Line), it’s just 15 minutes from Central London and easily accessible from all major London Terminals.

How big is the BLOVED Hive?

The studio will comfortably host a 10-person workshop or 25-person event. On co-working days, we limit occupancy to 5 members to ensure a quiet and pleasant working environment for all. Guests are welcome, so you can hold client meetings, at a small additional fee.

What facilities are at the BLOVED Hive?

The Hive will be a beautifully designed space that encourages communal working. Join your colleagues around our practical work bench, with built-in power for laptop and device charging.  You can even get comfy in our stylish lounge area and of course access to our free high-speed broadband!

We’ll even provide complimentary tea & coffee, a selection of infused waters (and the occasional treat!) from our drinks station.

You’ll also get access to my ever-growing prop cupboard (subject to damage deposit) and make the most of our flexible, contemporary furniture and light-filled space.

There is also a great café on site selling hot and cold refreshments, sandwiches and snacks. It’s also a fab spot for celeb-spotting as many photographic and recording studios are based on site!

For shoots and events, there is fresh water supply in the communal kitchen, and plenty of newly-renovated WC’s in the building. You’ll also get access to my ever-growing prop cupboard (subject to damage deposit) and make the most of our flexible, contemporary furniture and light-filled space.

What’s nearby?

The Biscuit Factory is home to many young, creative businesses and the surrounding area provides plenty to explore! As well as the on-site café, you can grab a bite to eat from Maltby Street Market, source some extra props at Bermondsey Antiques Market, or find inspiration at White Cube contemporary art gallery.  There’s even a gym for those pre-work workout sessions!

I’m not based in London, can I still join the Hive?

The Hive was designed with you in mind!  Whether you travel in to meet clients, suppliers or to attend events, the Hive offers the perfect space to save you running around town. Rather than café-hopping (and spending a fortune on skinny grande mocha latte’s!), base yourself at the Hive and invite your clients and suppliers to meet you there with no wasted downtime in between. Catch up on emails in between meetings and find out what other pros are up to.  Best of all, tea and coffee is free!

While our co-working space is what makes the Hive unique, our programme of help and advice with monthly action plans and tailored advice from Louise and our experts offers great value for members based in the rest of the UK and beyond! Members also get access to exclusive downloads, news and events, as well as discounts on all workshops hosted at the Hive – so your business can really benefit from membership, wherever you’re based!

My business is already a success, so why do I need the Hive?

Running a wedding business is hard work, no one knows it better than you! Working long hours, meeting clients on evenings and weekends, it’s hard to get a work/life balance. And running a business from home all by yourself means a supportive network of like-minded industry friends are key to your success.

You know that creating a beautiful wedding takes a talented team, and it’s no different in business. Even if you’re doing it alone you need a team of cheerleaders on the side lines.  We’re here to give you a massive pat on the back when things go right, and offer advice and motivation to build you back up when things go wrong.

The Hive gives you that community, the chance to learn from other wedding professionals from all sectors of the industry. Your own personal cheerleading team, if you will. Each week you’ll receive an action plan & podcast filled with advice and information to help you tackle common small business questions.
