Are you ready to make the leap?

Are you thinking about making the leap to being a full-time business owner and wondering if, why or when you should finally bite the bullet?

You’ve probably already trained for years to get a good job, climb the career ladder and work hard to earn a decent salary.  It’s safe, the easy rout, and everyone says you’d be bonkers to give that all up.

And then there’s the “what if’s”

  • What if I can’t do it?
  • What if I make the wrong decision?
  • What if no one likes my product?
  • What if I don’t get any clients?
  • What if I don’t make any money?
  • What if I fail?

What if you don’t? What if you spend the rest of your life in your safe, employed bubble, living for the weekend, dreading the Monday morning commute and letting someone else take all the glory and profits?

Ask yourself, can you truly be happy with that?

No. You’re not like everyone else, you want something more, something better!  You deserve to create the job of your dreams, to reach your goals and then set bigger ones and to have the freedom to do what you want, when you want. And have financial abundance too.

FIND YOUR WHY

I bet you’ve been feeling this way for some time, so what’s stopping you from making the leap?

First we need to go back to the beginning, and find your your why.  Why did you start your business in the first place? Perhaps it’s a creative outlet, maybe an opportunity to spend more time with family, to go on more holidays or maybe it’s the freedom to work whenever & where ever you like.

Whatever it is find your why, your mission. Write it down. Pin it somewhere you’ll see it every day, and use it as motivation to drive you forwards

WHAT’S HOLDING YOU BACK

Even now you know why you’re embarking on this entrepreneur journey, there’s still a niggling voice in the back of your head telling you you’re crazy.  And as much as you want to put everything in to taking the plunge and making your business a success, if there’s nothing PUSHING you to do so, you never will.

For years, I was lucky to have enough financial support that I didn’t need to earn, no matter how much I wanted to.  This safety net prevented me from making the leap, taking risks and making the decisions I needed to push my business forward. After all, if nothing changed nothing could go wrong.

In Spring 2015 all this changed, I got divorced and suddenly found myself with no income.  I considered going back to work, but ultimately it became the push that forced me to make difficult decisions and take the risks I needed to move my business forward.

Without that push you will never leave your comfort zone.  The push often disguises itself as something else; it could be an obvious push such as redundancy, a break-up, an illness or death, becoming a mum.  Or it could be more subtle; your children complaining you never get to pick them up from school, your partner worrying about you working 24/7, or even just not having time for self-care.  Whatever it is, don’t ignore it. It will push you to the next level.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

By letting go of the fears that are holding you back, doing what you love, and having a clear mission you can turn those ‘What if’s’ around;

  • What if I can do it?
  • What if this is the best decision I ever made?
  • What if everyone loves my services?
  • What if I get all the clients I deserve?
  • What if I make enough money to live the lifestyle of my dreams?
  • What if I succeed?
