Wedding planner, author and mum-of-one Andri Benson of Always Andri has become a pro at finding that elusive balance between work and life. Joining us at HiveLive17, she’ll be sharing her tips and secrets to successful time management, helping you find more time in your daily routine and helping you achieve greater success in ‘fitting it all in’.
Please can tell us a bit about yourself and your business?
I’m a London based wedding planner and I’ve been planning creative weddings with Always Andri Wedding Design for over 7 years. There’s so much pressure on couples these days to have the perfect wedding and I’m all about helping them to focus on what really matters. Every wedding I do is different as I seem to attract couples who have their own style and want something really personal. Getting to know the couple really well and helping them enjoy doing things in their own way is one of the best bits of my business. Plus, I’m super organised, which means I take the stress of admin and organisation off their hands!
What was it that attracted you to work in the wedding industry?
At the end of the day a wedding it’s all about the love of two people coming together and celebrating that love with their friends and family. To know I can play an important role in the planning of that day and the day itself is such a pleasure and honour. The industry itself is full of so many talented creatives that are a joy to work with and I’m enjoying sharing my knowledge with those entering the industry.
What are you going to be talking about at HiveLive17?
I’ll be talking about time management. As a business owner, it’s so easy to get overwhelmed by the multiple tasks you need to do but by putting good time management systems in place you can stay on top of your daily tasks and get more done.
What is about time management that you think most wedding pros struggle with?
We all get distracted by day to day client work that often you neglect working ON your business and it can be hard to know what to prioritise.
What are you most looking forward to at HiveLive17?
When you first start out as business owner it can be a lonely and uncertain time, not really knowing what areas you should be focusing and who to turn to for advice. I’m looking forward to sharing some of my journey with other businesses and the tips and tricks that have helped me along the way and any gathering like-minded business is always such a wonderful opportunity to share and learn.
